Stylised character I made in my spare time, mostly to have something original I can use to play with animation retargeting inside unreal. Still struggling with learning skinning and animation, so found the Mixamo algorithm does a pretty impressive job and with some work, retargets pretty well inside unreal. Also did the heal VFX following a tutorial on artstation learning by Bruno Afonseca. Learnt an bit about designer and a lot about cascade, which I'm finding much easier than Niagara. Overall learnt a tonne. If I had to re-do it, I think would take a different approach with the bark skin, probably leaning towards making a bark texture in designer instead of baking details down, but this was primarily to get a bit a practice with the entire pipeline so, I'm not overly fussed. Had fun and learnt lots and that's what counts.
